Memory in enclosure or the enclosure of monastic memory? Remarks on the role of enclosure in the processes of information flow in early-modern female monasteries

Abstract

The paper concerns the issue of monastic enclosure as a factor playing an important role in the process of information flow, subsequently recorded in various types of documentation. The study covered archives created by the Discalced Carmelite Monastery of St. Saint Martin existing in Krakow in the years 1612-1787.
